10 Moments of the 00's #7

No 7: Receiving the Letteris et Artibus medal (2007)
No 8: "Les Misérables" in London's West End (2002)
No 9: "Find My Way To Bethlehem" (2009)
No 10: Johnson & Häggkvist miss the finale (2008)

After having a hugely successful year in 2006, Carola proudly received the Letteris et Artibus medal from the Royal Highness the King of Sweden at a ceremony at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on January 30 2007. The Litteris et Artibus was established in 1853 by then Crown Prince Carl Ludvig Eugen (later King Karl XV) and is awarded for outstanding service to the arts—music, dramatic art and literature. A very selected group of Swedish singers, composers, actors and authors have received the medal since then. Recipients include Alice Tegnér (1914), Hugo Alfvén (1916), Birgit Nilsson (1960), Astrid Lindgren (1975), Povel Ravel (1978) and ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus (1999). In 2007, Carola joined this selected few in the honor of receiving the medal from King Carl XVI Gustaf and that’s why this event qualifies to be no 7 on my list over 10 most memorable moments of the last decade.

Don’t miss to check out no 6 on the list tomorrow!

Agree or disagree? Don't worry, on December 20 it's your time to vote for what you think is the no 1 moment of the 00's. Until then, feel free to leave your comments here.
