Tomorrow, the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria will marry her fiance Daniel Westling. As you all know, Carola is scheduled to perform at the dinner party at the Royal Palace. Earlier it was said she would sing her 2006 ESC song "Evighet" and "Det är bara vi" which has been specifically written for this occasion. Now it's reported that Carola will also sing "The Runaway" from her 1986 album produced by Maurice Gibb—a special request from the groom! Carola has said she will sing "more than two songs", just how many it will we just have to see tomorrow night. Carola will be backed by the band Cotton Club.

I hope and believe that the commentators will keep quiet during Carola's performance. I hope they keep the webcast going. I think they originally only were supposed to go on till midnight (10 min from now).

ReplyDeleteI know they were only supposed to keep it going until midnight, but they waited until 00:45. So I guessed they would show everything, but then they didn't. And it said in the info about the last part of the program that Carola WOULD sing… :(
This is what I believed happened:
ReplyDeleteSVT were supposed to film until midnight, but with all the delays they were allowed to continue until the first dance between Victoria and Daniel, but after that they could not continue...
Very sad. And I doubt we will see videos later... I hope I'm wrong!

Reports today suggests that it was always intended to be a private show for the royal couple. Carola spoke to Aftonbladet about it. There's a video online. Daniel said 'storst av allt ar karleken' which is what Carola often says!
