Swedish singles chart—w 25
Carola's "Det är bara vi" drops from no 20 to no 38 on the Swedish singles chart this week. This is based solely on download sales since the single has not been released in stores.
W 24 DET ÄR BARA VI No. 20
W 25 DET ÄR BARA VI No. 38
Seems like last week's no 20's position will be the single's peak position on the chart.

What will Carola sing?
Tomorrow, the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria will marry her fiance Daniel Westling. As you all know, Carola is scheduled to perform at the dinner party at the Royal Palace. Earlier it was said she would sing her 2006 ESC song "Evighet" and "Det är bara vi" which has been specifically written for this occasion. Now it's reported that Carola will also sing "The Runaway" from her 1986 album produced by Maurice Gibb—a special request from the groom! Carola has said she will sing "more than two songs", just how many it will we just have to see tomorrow night. Carola will be backed by the band Cotton Club.
If you don't have access to Swedish TV, you can follow the whole event on SVT Play (see links below). Carola is scheduled to perform sometime after 11:15 pm (Swedish local time).

Exclusive : Future plans
Carola International can today reveal many interesting facts about Carola's future plans, that include a new album, a possible DVD release and an English version of "Det är bara vi".
- Swedish producers Jones La Carre and Michael Zitron who produced "Woman in Love" have worked on more songs with Carola for an upcoming album. Zitron has previously worked with Pauline, Sophia Somajo, E.M.D. and Danny.
- "Woman in Love" will be released on an album with Elvis and Barbra Streisand material. Work has just begun and the album won't be released until later this year.
- As previously reported, the "Carola sings Elvis & Barbra Streisand" concert in Dalhalla will be recorded for TV. It's still not clear what channel will air the concert, but...
- There is a (possible) DVD release of the concert in the works. It seems like an album / TV-show / DVD release similar to the 20th anniversary show might happen! Good news for fans!
- There are plans to release the wedding song "Det är bara vi" in English. When is not clear.
Just like all future plans—there might be changes or delays to any or all of them...
Remember where you read it first! ;)

Watch the press conference live
On Wednesday June 9 at 1.00 pm, all artists of this season of Allsång på Skansen will be presented at a press conference at Skansen in Stockholm. Carola has been rumored (it is more than a rumor) to be one of the artists scheduled to perform in the first program on June 29. If Carola will attend the press conference has not been confirmed (this is all very secretive), but quite likely.
You can watch the press conference two ways: If you are in Stockholm you can attend the event at Skansen, or you can watch a live webcast at SVT's website.

New song: "Tänk om"
Photo: Stefan Söderström / Expressen
Carola premiered her new song "Tänk om" specially composed for the Royal Wedding, during her performance celebrating the Swedish National Day on June 6. She will perform the same song at the wedding reception after the wedding on June 19 (along with "Evighet"). Watch her performance above, and read the lyrics below: Updated on July 7
Här med dig framför mig
Livet känns underbart
Jag blundar nu tänker på
Hur allting kunde varit
Om vi två aldrig mötts
En chans vi fick
Ett ögonblick
Tänk om vår kärlek aldrig fått chansen
Att kunna leva och växa på nytt
Tänk om vår närhet tagits ifrån oss
Det är bara vi, det är bara vi
Tänk om vår lycka aldrig fått vingar
För att flyga och vara fri
Vad hade vi varit nu
För mig finns bara du
Tid har gått men ändå
står vi här du och jag
Jag ser din själ
Du känner mig när vi blivit ett
Framtiden har ingen sett
En dröm som födds
Två hjärtan som är
Tänk om vår kärlek aldrig fått chansen
Att kunna födas och växa på nytt
Tänk om vår lycka tagits ifrån oss
Det är bara vi, det är bara vi
Tänk om vår lycka aldrig fått vingar
För att flyga och vara fri
Vad hade vi varit nu
För mig finns bara du
Nu vill jag ge mitt hjärta
Vill gå genom lycka och smärta
Vill älska dig i nöd och lust
Kärleken är störst
Tänk om vår kärlek aldrig fått chansen
Att kunna leva och växa på nytt
Tänk om vår närhet tagits ifrån oss
Det är bara vi, det är bara vi
Tänk om vår lycka aldrig fått vingar
För att flyga och vara fri
Vad hade vi varit, utan varandra
För mig finns bara du
Det finns bara du
Det finns bara du
Thanks to Peter Karlsson for the lyrics.

Carola's "3 Original Album Classics" has been on sale on Amazon.com for quite some time, but the Swedish release seems to have been pushed again. Both CDON and Ginza has changed the release date from June 2 to "Coming soon". Whenever I get more information about the release of the box, I will give it to you!
