Free concert in Hamar, Norway

Carola enjoyed the small town of Hamar in Norway so much when she performed her concert there on Sunday, that she decided to stay and give a free concert on the city square today Wednesday July 14. During her concert on Sunday, she said that this was the beginning of a time when she wants to perform more for Christian audiences and not solely on the pop stage.

Ticket release for Christmas Concerts

Carola will perform Christmas concerts in three Swedish cities in December, and the tickets are released tomorrow at 9.00 am Swedish local time! This year's Christmas tour is named "Carolas Jul 2010—Från vinterskrud till morgonstjärnan" and will visit Örebro, Jönköping, and Stockholm.

This is how the concerts are described by Carola's production company:

"Just like every year, Christmas is a familiar occasion when happiness, warmth and love unites us in the final holiday of the year. This year too, this occasion and atmosphere will be accompanied by Carolas Christmas 2010—the concert that takes us from a Scandinavia dressed for winter to the morning star of Bethlehem."

Marit on the Elvis / Barbra album

As we exclusively reported some time back, Carola is planning to release an album with Elvis and Barbra Streisand covers. Here comes another confirmation... Marit Bergman, who has always been a great Carola supporter recently wrote the following in a local newspaper:

"I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you this, but I got a sneak listen to some of the songs she has recorded for her Elvis/Barbra Streisand album. And I can reveal that she finally, finally sounds just the way I always wanted her to sound. I got goose bumps I tell you. Hope they don't wreck it in the final mixes."
