It's been 10 years since Carola International first was published online. Now it's time for a break. I'm not sure when or if we're coming back. Partly it's dependent on Carola's future plans. We are many who've been patiently waiting for new pop/rock material, but that album always seems to be pushed back.
2013 might be a big year for Carola with her 30th Anniversary, book and possibly album (let's just hope it's not yet another greatest hits compilation), and I want to wish her all the best and thank her fans for being so supportive of this site!

Oh no! Such sad news, your site has always been the best and (only) objective one. It'll be sadly missed by me and I'm sure by lots of others too. That said I do understand your decision as I too am sick of waiting for that pop/rock album that never seems to come. If she releases one more christmas or compilation or whatever album before the pop album I'm probably quitting as a fan. Enough is enough (no more side projects), lol. Anyways I'm hoping she'll do the right thing soon and that your site will be reopened soon. Until then all the best and thanks!

ReplyDeleteI love her for many years, just went through everything: adored her, then respected, appreciated her singing skills - everything. And still feel it. But we need this pop album, this is what feeds us.

ReplyDeleteWell there seems to be more talk of a pop album for next year. So there's hope yet! Hope she delivers this time and that people like Ola Salo and Marit Bergman are writing for her. That would be a dream come true to me.

hello. i am from switzerland and since 1991 a big fan of carola. your blog was sooo nice, with all the pics, videos and storys. it was my hobby to read everything new about carola. and now she is celebrating her 30-year-jubilee. fantastic. i saw her on youtube today with CAPTURED BY A LOVESTORM in eurovision in concert and the title "Miss Eurovision". that realy touched me. so pls, start your blog again! i am shure there is so much more coming from her! greets from zürich ***
